Annalena makes imaginative and eclectic multimedia art in North Carolina.

Whether by birthing songs in the midst of questioning, or by immortalizing fleeting experiences through objects that might otherwise end up in a landfill, Annalena finds art everywhere. She views it as her mission to bring beauty into existence by whatever means necessary––sometimes in the form of scribbles of words, sometimes with cardboard as a canvas, sometimes in the form of piano keys.

Her love for creating never had a beginning––it's something that "has always resided within." Before learning to read, Annalena interpreted stories she wanted to document through drawings. Now, in her early twenties, she continues using art and music as interpretation for such stories. In 2019, Annalena exhibited a piece for the Gateway Nature Preserve at the Artworks Gallery. After spending some time studying and working, she found herself called back into the art world at Culture Studio in May 2023 to benefit Gateway Nature Preserve. Since then, her true modus operandi has come to fruition––to create and to share. She has continued to do so as a member of the Almond Tree Artist Collective and has since shared her work at West Salem Public House and Grace Presbyterian Church.

Her greatest inspiration is God––the ultimate artist and creator of the universe. She believes that art exists to give us a sliver of the beauty of her Savior and feels endlessly grateful for the gift He has given her.

After taking a year-long hiatus due to an unexpected battle with health, Annalena is ready to return. "It might look different than before," she warns. "But maybe that's a good thing."
